What is the CSD?

The CSD is the Central Supplier Database that is managed by the National Treasury Department (Government).

The CSD is a government-owned website that is used to capture a company’s details and compliance information.

Companies would have to complete an online registration on the CSD website to receive a CSD registration (MAAA) number.

An MAAA number is used by departments and contractors to easily confirm a company’s information.

An MAAA number is needed for all tenders and contracts. Departments will also inform CSD registered companies of new and available tenders.

CSD registrations can be done online with just a few clicks via Govchain.
